LRRC8A Regulates Outer Hair Cell Volume and Electromotility and is Required for Hearing

This study identifies LRRC8A‐dependent volume‐regulated anion channels (VRACs) as essential for cochlear outer hair cells' electromotility and auditory signal amplification.
