Coxeter-biCatalan combinatorics [PDF]
We consider several counting problems related to Coxeter-Catalan combinatorics and conjecture that the problems all have the same answer, which we call the $W$ -biCatalan number. We prove the conjecture in many cases.

Notes on the Hankel transform of linear combinations of consecutive pairs of Catalan numbers [PDF]
We provide a context around a conjectured closed form for the Hankel transform of linear combinations of consecutive pairs of Catalan numbers. This generalizes the formula for the Hankel transforms of the shifted Catalan numbers and the known results for linear combinations of pairs of Catalan numbers.

Catalan-like numbers and Stieltjes moment sequences [PDF]
We provide sufficient conditions under which the Catalan-like numbers are Stieltjes moment sequences. As applications, we show that many well-known counting coefficients, including the Bell numbers, the Catalan numbers, the central binomial coefficients, the central Delannoy numbers, the factorial numbers, the large and little Schr\"oder numbers, are ...

In this study, Merkoçi and his research group present a polymer‐based synthesis to enhance the stability of Prussian blue (PB) nanoparticles. The resulting PB‐infused catalytic hetero‐interface architecture (PB‐CHIA) achieves complete two‐dimensional (2D) and three‐dimensional (3D) substrate coverage (glassy carbon and laser‐induced graphene electrodes)

Congruences from $q$-Catalan Identities [PDF]
In this paper, by studying three $q$-Catalan identities given by Andrews, we arrive at a certain number of congruences. These congruences are all modulo $Phi_n(q)$, the $n$-th cyclotomic polynomial or the related functions and modulo $q$-integers

Catalan structures and Catalan pairs [PDF]
A Catalan pair is a pair of binary relations (S,R) satisfying certain axioms. These objects are enumerated by the well-known Catalan numbers, and have been introduced with the aim of giving a common language to most of the structures counted by Catalan numbers.

Formamidinium‐based perovskite (FAPbI3) solar cells are of great interest due to an advantageous band gap able to achieve the maximum theoretical efficiency. In this study, a strategy is demonstrated based on a halide ion gradient (present in the general 2D perovskite formulation) created on the 3D FAPbI3 surface to simultaneously increase the ...

Sweet Femininities: Women and the Confectionery Trade in Eighteenth‐Century Barcelona
Abstract This article examines the intersections between sweetness, femininity and the confectionery trade in eighteenth‐century Barcelona, at a time of growing consumption of sugar and slavery. Drawing on a range of underexplored archival material, this study traces the stories of women of different social groups, namely, elite housewives, nuns and ...

Permutations avoiding an increasing number of length-increasing forbidden subsequences [PDF]
A permutation π is said to be τ -avoiding if it does not contain any subsequence having all the same pairwise comparisons as τ . This paper concerns the characterization and enumeration of permutations which avoid a set F^j of subsequences increasing ...
