Advanced Science, EarlyView.Cisplatin causes reactive oxygen species accumulation, leading to apoptosis and inflammation in cochlear hair cells. Small extracellular vesicles primarily derived from the damaged hair cells likely contribute to cisplatin‐induced ototoxicity, carrying a variety of microRNAs and proteins.
