Micro‐Galvanic Coupling Programs the Therapeutic Zinc Ion Window to Reconfigure Immune Cascades for Pro‐Regenerative Bone Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study utilized alloy micro‐galvanic coupling design to regulate the release of essential elements, thereby programming immune responses and promoting regeneration. The sacrificial anodic process of Zn‐0.8Mg reduced Zn2+ release compared to the “large cathode‐small anode” coupling of Zn‐0.8Fe.

Temporal variations in catch composition of stationary bagnets along Maharashtra coast in relation to environmental factors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Stationary bagnets are one of the most extensively operated traditional fishing gears along Maharashtra Coast. Despite being the most important traditional gear of the State, no systematic studies on the temporal variations in catch composition and the

HLA‐DR+ Schwann Cells Generate the Protumor Cancer‐Neuron‐Immune Niche in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hijacked and educated by HNSCC cells, HLA‐DR+ Schwann cells lost their normal neural‐related functions but acquired immunoregulatory phenotypes to promote CD4+ T cells transform into Tregs. HLA‐DR+ Schwann cells induced a macrophage subpopulation, Il1β.

Fisheries in Yonki Reservoir, Papua New Guinea

open access: yes, 2002
A year after Yonkl Reservoir (Eastern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea) had been completed, a su1wy was conducted among people found fishing at the shore. Rod and line was used in 99% of the reported fishing trips.

Inhibition of KDEL Receptors Remodels the Tumor Microenvironment for T Cell Independent Tumor Regression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inhibition of KDELR2 in a small fraction of tumor cells generates sustainable immunogenic cell death conditions within the tumor microenvironment. These conditions promote the regression of tumors in a T cell independent manner. During regression, macrophages prime T cells that subsequently provide systemic protection against recurrence. The potency of

The effect of pitfall trap construction and preservative on catch size, species richness and species composition of ground beetles (Coleoptera: Carabidae)

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Entomology, 2012
Pitfall trapping is the most frequently used sampling technique for epigeal arthropods. Trap design could significantly affect the catch so the results of studies using different trap designs may be difficult to compare.

Prediction of Structural Stability of Layered Oxide Cathode Materials: Combination of Machine Learning and Ab Initio Thermodynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, we developed a phase‐stability predictor by combining machine learning and ab initio thermodynamics approaches, and identified the key factors determining the favorable phase for a given composition. Specifically, a lower TM ionic potential, higher Na content, and higher mixing entropy favor the O3 phase.

Preferences and perceptions of the recreational spearfishery of the Great Barrier Reef.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
Recreational fishing practices can have significant impacts on marine ecosystems but their catch dynamics are often difficult to quantify, particularly for spearfishing.

Catch The Tiger

open access: yes, 2017
But this is no ordinary game. Designed to test how we react to changes in our environment, and to our own fluctuating anxiety levels, it is a multi-sensory physical game that you will experience with four other players.
