A comparison of methods for calculating Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE) of gill net catches in lakes

Fisheries Research, 2008
Abstract Fish constitute an important component of lake ecosystems and many different methods have been used for fish assessment. Based on gill net catches in two stratified (max depth = 14–22 m) eutrophic Danish lakes, relative fish abundance measured as Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE) was calculated.

Comparison between univariate and bivariate geostatistical models for estimating catch per unit of effort (cpue): A simulation study

Fisheries Research, 2012
Abstract Data on catch and fishing effort are used for estimating the relative abundance of a fish stock. Geostatistical models have been used in this sort of analysis. Multivariate geostatistical models have been used in several areas but not often with fisheries data.

Investigating priceless orange roughy (Hoplostethus atlanticus) population dynamics using linear models of catch per unit effort (CPUE)

2016
Who do you trust when trying to make an informed and environmentally friendly choice on fish fillets at the supermarket? The Marine Stewardship Council and Forest and Bird have contradictory opinions when it comes to orange roughy (Hoplostethus atlanticus) sustainability.

[Relationship between the environmental factors and the CPUE (catch per unit effort) of Pseudocarcharias kamoharai in tropical Atlantic Ocean based on the GAM-Tweedie model].

Ying yong sheng tai xue bao = The journal of applied ecology, 2018
Crocodile shark (Pseudocarcharias kamoharai) is an important by-catch species of tropical Atlantic tuna longline fishery. The research on the relationship between the CPUE (catch per unit effort) and environmental factors can provide basic data for resource protection and management of this important species.

Evaluation of fish exploitation in the Benin River stretch using the Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE) analysis

Tropical Freshwater Biology
An assessment was carried out to investigate the species abundance by Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE) in Benin River. Fish samples were collected for 21 months starting from April 2019 to March 2021 from four different stations of the Benin River. Abundance and biomass of fishes were used to estimate the CPUE.

Analisis Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE) dan Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY) Ikan Layang (Decapterus sp) Yang Didaratkan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera (PPS) Kendari

Jurnal Perikanan Unram

Innovated fishing trap in relation to species diversity and catch per unit effort (CPUE) in Epe Lagoon

Nigerian Journal of Fisheries
In this study, an innovated fishing trap with increased longevity was designed to investigate the effectiveness with that of traditional traps in relation to species diversity and total monthly catches (CPUE). The innovated trap was developed using plastic with an escape gap of 8cm for better efficiency.
