A global resource for exploring and exploiting genetic variation in sorghum crop wild relatives

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 61, Issue 1, Page 150-162, January/February 2021., 2021
Abstract One response to mitigate the impact of climate change on agricultural systems is to develop new varieties that are tolerant to the new range of biotic and abiotic challenges this change causes. This requires access to novel variants of genes for complex adaptive traits.

Sulfur vs. Selenium as Bridging Ligand in Di‐Iron Complexes: A Theoretical Analysis

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Volume 2020, Issue 15-16, Page 1525-1538, April 30, 2020., 2020
The picture compares a molecular orbital located mostly on the bridging S or Se in [Fe2X2]2+ dimers. The 3p‐ and 4p‐orbitals of S and Se, respectively, show a different mixing with the terminal ligands and with each other. The replacement of S with Se is a useful technique for studying iron‐sulfur clusters.
