ABSTRACT Knowing the relationship between catch per unit effort (CPUE) and population density is crucial for the management of recreational fisheries. We conducted standardized angling for pike in 16 lakes (3.4–22.1 ha) to test whether lure type, color, and pike density affect CPUE and the size of captured fish.

In this study it is aimed that determining effect of some social and demographic properties on Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE) in Uluabat Lake anglers. A total of 375 interview applied with angler from April 2015 to May 2016 monthly period. Mean CPUE values of each angler was estimated as 1.36 fish/hr (0.08-5.67).

Abstract The 2024 Annual Symposium of the Fisheries Society of the British Isles reviewed the burgeoning impact of ‘omics’ technologies on fish ecology, management and forecasting. As with life sciences more generally, major advances in speed, cost‐effectiveness and breadth of applications in ‘omics’ has had profound societal and environmental impacts.
