Public Transit Catchment Areas
Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, 2014The coordination of bicycle and transit modes has received close attention from public transit planners and researchers in recent years as transit agencies around the world have installed bicycle racks on transit vehicles, implemented bicycles-on-trains policies, and made other efforts to facilitate bicycle-transit integration.

Prioritizing mountain catchment areas
Journal of Environmental Management, 1991A methodology is developed for the ranking of mountain catchment (watershed) areas based on the actual numerical attribute values of each area as well as on subjective evaluations of the attributes themselves. It is shown, in particular, how the pariwise comparisons of the catchment area attributes serve to generate weights to weigh the rankings of the

Rock Catchment Area Design Charts
GeoFlorida 2010, 2010Studies on the effectiveness of deep ditches against rockfalls have shown that, the original Ritchie (1963) guidelines are not as conservative as previously thought. Moreover, following these guidelines, a unique ditch “depth – width” pair of values is obtained for a given rock cutting not allowing for the chosen of the most economical solution.

Catchment Area Detection and Optimization
2020The main focus of the paper is the issue of water scarcity in the rural parts of India, where there are limited water resources like lakes and rivers. The groundwater level of these areas has also reduced drastically on account of various environmental issues like global warming, etc.

Evaporation over catchment areas
Quarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, 1938AbstractSome of the most authentic data of the general rainfall over British drainage areas and the run‐off in annual periods are marshalled. The difference between these observed quantities of water—i.e., the losses in annual periods from all causes—is fundamentally accepted from other research to be principally the effect of evaporation including ...

Moments of Catchment Storm Area
Water Resources Research, 1985The portion of a catchment covered by a stationary rainstorm is modeled by the common area of two overlapping circles. Given that rain occurs within the catchment and conditioned by fixed storm and catchment sizes, the first two moments of the distribution of the common area are derived from purely geometrical considerations. The variance of the wetted
