Resistance of Trapezoidal Sheeting in Fire

open access: yesce/papers, Volume 8, Issue 6, Page 682-686, December 2025.
Abstract Cold‐formed steel trapezoidal sheeting has a significant decrease of its bending resistance in fire due to the small sheet thickness. The bending resistance is generally reached within 10 minutes of a fire. However, the failure in bending is followed by transitions from bending behaviour to a catenary action.

Specialization and Integral Closure

open access: yes, 2014
We prove that the integral closedness of any ideal of height at least two is compatible with specialization by a generic element. This opens the possibility for proofs using induction on the height of an ideal.

Tracking Mooring Lines of Floating Structures by an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, Volume 42, Issue 8, Page 4589-4608, December 2025.
ABSTRACT This study presents a novel method for tracking mooring lines of Floating Offshore Wind Turbines (FOWTs) using an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) equipped with a tilt‐controlled Multibeam Imaging Sonar (MBS). The proposed approach enables the AUV to estimate the 3D positions of mooring lines and safely track them in real‐time, overcoming ...

Study on the Length of the Effective Vibration Area of the Catenary in a Pantograph–Catenary Interaction System

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The effective vibration area includes most of the catenary vibration caused by pantograph–catenary interactions and is the basis of the real-time catenary model for hardware-in-the-loop simulation.

Genetic Optimization Method of Pantograph and Catenary Comprehensive Monitor Status Prediction Model Based on Adadelta Deep Neural Network

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The status of the Pantograph and Catenary is the guarantee for the safe operation of the railway. However, the traditional Pantograph and Catenary status judgment efficiency is not satisfactory, and it is impossible to timely repair the catenary, which ...

Extrapolation of lung pharmacokinetics of bedaquiline across species using physiologically‐based pharmacokinetic modelling

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 91, Issue 11, Page 3167-3178, November 2025.
Aims Bedaquiline (BDQ) is a first‐in‐class diarylquinoline (DARQ) and a potent anti‐tuberculosis drug, vital in combating multi‐drug resistant tuberculosis (TB). Understanding its lung pharmacokinetics (PK) across species is crucial for effective clinical translation.

On a new invariant of finitely generated modules over local rings

open access: yes, 2010
Let $M$ be a finitely generated module on a local ring $R$ and $\F: M_0\subset M_1\subset...\subset M_t=M$ a filtration of submodules of $M$ such that ...

Evaluating Different Approaches for Modelling Rotor Aero‐Servo‐Dynamics in Frequency‐Domain Analysis of Floating Wind Turbines

open access: yesWind Energy, Volume 28, Issue 11, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Computationally efficient frequency‐domain models can play a very important role in facilitating conceptual design optimization of floating wind turbines (FWTs). However, achieving sufficient accuracy in such models is challenging due to the nonlinear variation of the aerodynamic loads, particularly the interaction between the floating ...
