Resistive cathode transparency

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research, 1982
Abstract The basic features of induced pulse detection by strip electrodes outside wire devices with high resisitivity cathode will be discussed, making use of the results of tests and calculations. The dependence on the essential parameters fixing cathode transparency is shown.

Cathode to Cathode Lithium Ion Battery Recycling

ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2016
Due to their high energy density, long lifespan and light weight, lithium ion (Li-ion) batteries accounted for $11.8 billion dollars in sales in 2012, that makes up 60% of total portable battery sales and 37% of total battery sales. The same factors also make them the best candidate for use in hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and electric vehicles ...

Hollow Cathode Discharge with Thermionic Cathodes

Journal of Applied Physics, 1971
The electrical and visual characteristics of a dc hollow cathode discharge with indirectly heated thermionic cathodes were obtained in argon at a few Torr. Two facing planar cathodes of variable separation form the hollow cathode geometry. A hollow cathode effect was observed in the ``ball-of-fire'' mode and in the ``low-voltage arc'' mode. The results

Cathode Phase Inversion

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1938
Application of cathode phase inversion previously described is made to several practical circuits including symmetrical cathode-ray oscillograph amplification, high fidelity d.c. amplification, and differential or mixer amplifier operation. The theory of a symmetrical degenerative attenuator modification of the basic circuit is developed and practical ...

Improved Sofc Cathodes and Cathode Contact Layers

2008
SOFC development at Forschungszentrum Julich is aiming at high power density and high durability to achieve cost reduction in manufacturing and installation. For higher power density the work on materials development has been focused on improving the cathode performance by modification of the component thickness, the microstructure and the choice of ...

Cathode Sputtering in Hollow Cathode Discharges

Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 1962
In order to investigate the processes responsible for a negative resistance of the hollow cathode discharge, several discharge parameters are measured with a Langmuir probe. The vapor density distributions of the sputtered cathode metal are measured by the absorption method of the resonance radiation of the metal atom. Almost all the metal atoms in the

The Cathode-Ray Oscillograph

Scientific American, 1923
The cathode ray oscillograph, since its invention by Braun, has developed along three lines. The major types of tubes are the high voltage tubes with a fluorescent screen, the high voltage tubes with internal photographic equipment, and the low voltage tubes. This paper follows the structural development of commercial tubes.
