Highly oriented hexagonal hydride phase formation in single phase Ti3Al by cathodic charging
A single phase intermetallic compound Ti3Al having DO19 structure (hexagonal) was hydrogenated by cathodic charging. The structure was monitored by X-ray diffraction (XRD) at different charging times.

Distribution of Cathode Charge in a Multiwire Proportional Chamber
IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science, 1984Detailed measurements have been made of the lateral distribution of induced charge on wire cathodes in a multiwire proportional chamber. The results are in close agreement with the predictions of a theoretical model in which the effect of ground planes behind the cathodes, avalanche angular localisation, and signal processing are included.

Defects Induced in Copper by Cathodic Charging of Hydrogen
Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 1989Scanning and transmission electron microscopes were used to study the effect of cathodic charging of hydrogen on the defect structure of bulk copper foils. Cathodic charging of hydrogen over an extended period of time (~24h) resulted in a considerable reduction in the ductility of copper foils.

Space-charge waves in a double-cathode tube
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1972A double-cathode tube is working in the space-charge region. A small-signal theory for such a tube, including transit-time effects, yields the result that two space-charge waves are traveling inwards from each of the cathodes.

Cathodic hydrogen charging and mechanical properties of copper
Journal of Materials Science, 1994The influence of cathodic hydrogen charging on some mechanical properties of copper was studied. Hydrogen charging was found to decrease both the ultimate tensile strength and the failure strain of copper. The surface layers of copper were hardened, but they recovered to their prior hardness with time passed after hydrogen charging.

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2003Steel surfaces of machines undergo corrosion protection most commonly by means of electrodeposited Zn, Cd, Ni, Cr etc. with chemical or electrochemical surface pretreatment for deposition. To preserve the surface geometry steel wire and strips undergo cathodic electrocleaning in an alkaline bath and cathodic etching or pickling in acid solutions.

Cathode charge sampling readout system for MWPC
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research, 1983Abstract In order to reach a horizontal spatial resolution of about 0.1 mm in the two arms spectrometer of the CERN UA-6 experiment, it is planned to add to the MWPC an induced charge cathode readout system. The construction of the chambers and the cathode readout electronics are described. Results of preliminary tests are given.

The hydrogen content of austenite after cathodic charging
Scripta Metallurgica, 1981Abstract We have made direct measurements of deuterium concentration profiles and have shown that the concentration of hydrogen (deuterium) in the near-surface layers of 310 austenitic steel following room-temperature cathodic charging in poisoned electrolytes is 0.5 to 0.8 hydrogen atoms per metal atom.
