Electrochemical cell recharging by solvent separation and transfer processes

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
Electrochemical conversion and storage of unutilized renewable energy will contribute to decarbonization. Here, we create the concept of a liquid electrochemical cell that discharges between the anodic and cathodic sides by reverse reactions of the same ...

Effects of hydrogen on the crevice corrosion behaviors of duplex stainless steel 2205

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2022
Crevice corrosion behaviors of duplex stainless steel 2205 after hydrogen charging are investigated. The absorbed hydrogen is introduced into the specimens through cathodic galvanostatic method.

Investigating electrochemical charging conditions equivalent to hydrogen gas exposure of X65 pipeline steel [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
In this study, we systematically investigate electrochemical hydrogen charging conditions equivalent to hydrogen gas pressures relevant for hydrogen transportation in X65 pipeline steel. By performing hydrogen gas permeation, a relationship for Sieverts'

Evaluation of hydrogen content in the surface layer of austenitic stainless steel by means of micro-indentation test with a spherical indenter

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2015
In order to investigate the relationship between hydrogen-induced hardening of austenitic stainless steel and the hydrogen content, the spherical micro-indentation tests and thermal desorption analysis have been conducted on hydrogen charged austenitic ...

Analysis of hydrogen thermal desorption behavior of Ni-Ti superelastic alloy hydrogen-charged by cathodic charging and immersion testing

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2017
We investigated differences in the hydrogen thermal desorption mechanism for Ni-Ti superelastic alloys following hydrogen charging by cathodic charging in a 0.9% NaCl aqueous solution and by immersion testing in a 0.2% APF aqueous solution.

Charge Compensation Mechanisms in Ni‐Rich NMC Cathodes

open access: yesBatteries & Supercaps
Understanding charge compensation mechanisms in nickel‐rich lithium nickel–manganese–cobalt alloy oxide (NMC) cathodes is crucial for optimizing their electrochemical performance. This study employs complementary spectroscopic techniques with varying probing depths, including X‐ray absorption near‐edge structure spectroscopy, hard ...

Charge transport phenomena in thin-film cathodes

open access: yesSolid State Ionics, 1992
Abstract The OCV, chemical diffusion coefficient and thermodynamic enhancement factor has been determined as a function of lithium content in MOCVD TiS 2 films. The films were deposited in a cold-wall reactor at 7.5 mbar, 207 and 250°C, and a feed gas composition of 0.25 vol% TiCl 4 and 1.4 vol% hexamethyldisilathiane.
