CATHODIC ARC DEPOSITION OF FILMS
Annual Review of Materials Science, 1998▪ Abstract Cathodic arc deposition is a plasma-based technology for the fabrication of films. The process can be carried out either at high vacuum or in a low pressure gaseous environment, and films can be formed for example of metals, ceramics, diamond-like carbon, some semiconductors and superconductors, and more.

Cathodic electrolytic deposition of zirconia films
Surface and Coatings Technology, 2005Abstract Cathodic electrodeposition of composite zirconia-poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDDA) films was performed from ZrOCl 2 solutions in a mixed methanol–water solvent containing PDDA. The electrodeposition method is based on the electrosynthesis of zirconia and electrophoresis of PDDA.

Magnetic enhancement of cathodic arc deposition
Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology A: Vacuum, Surfaces, and Films, 1987Cathodic arc deposition offers some important strengths as a deposition process. Material can be deposited at extremely rapid rates and large fractions of the evaporant are ionized, permitting control of the arrival energy of the depositing material. In addition, the depositing material can be directed by magnetic and electrostatic fields to specific ...

Enhancement of shielded cathodic arc deposition
Surface and Coatings Technology, 2003A shielded-cathodic-arc-deposition (SCAD) technique was modified and enhanced to improve the deposition rate of droplet-free thin solid film. The technique was based on plasma transportation using the external magnetic field of a permanent magnet or electromagnetic coil.

Cathodic arc plasma deposition technology
Thin Solid Films, 1988Abstract The cathodic arc plasma deposition process is a relatively new thin film deposition process (H. Randhawa and P.C. Johnson, A review, Surf. Coat. Technol. , 31 (1987) 303; H. Randhawa, J. Vac. Sci. Technol. A , 4 (6) (1986) 2755). This paper is a review of the cathodic arc deposition technology with the latest developments and its potential

Cathodic Arc Deposition of ZrNbN Coating
Russian Physics Journal, 2019Cathodic arc deposition is used to produce ZrNbN coating with the different niobium concentration. Investigated are the elemental and phase compositions of the obtained coating, its structure and properties. It is shown that various parameters of niobium cathode discharge modify the elemental composition of ZrNbN coating.

The deposition and wear properties of cathodic arc plasma deposition TiAIN deposits
Materials Chemistry and Physics, 1996Abstract TiAIN coatings on tool steel were produced with a cathodic arc plasma deposition system. The Taguchi experimental design was applied to achieve the optimum wear-resistant coating. Substrate bias, nitrogen partial pressure and target composition were found to be among the most influential variables that govern the wear resistance of the ...

β-PbO Plate Films Deposited on Cathode by Electrochemical Deposition
Advanced Materials Research, 2010In this paper, we developed a simple and effective method to fabricate lead oxide plate films by electrochemical deposition. The electrolyte was lead nitrate aqueous solution with or without Cl- ions. Stainless steel plate was employed as both cathode and substrate, and a graphite plate as anode.
