Cathodic Stripping Voltammetry of the Antibacterial Drug (Nitrofurantoin)

Analytical Letters, 1998
Abstract Cathodic stripping voltammetry was used to determine the antibacterial drug Nitrofurantoin in phosphate buffer (pH 5.5). The adsorptive peak was observed at −0.173 V vs. Ag/AgCl. The peak response was characterized with respect to pH, preconcetration time, possible interferences, deposition potential, supporting electrolytes and other ...

Voltammetry—Cathodic Stripping ☆

open access: yes, 2018
Cathodic stripping voltammetry (CSV) is an analytical technique used for the analysis of low levels of analytes (principally trace metals and sulfur containing organic compounds) in aqueous solutions, and is based on the measurement of a reductive ...

Determination of selenium in garlic by cathodic stripping voltammetry

Food Chemistry, 1999
Abstract The selenium content in a garlic sample was determined on hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) using cathodic stripping voltammetry (CSV). In this method the dried garlic sample was digested in HNO3:HClO4 (1:1) by wet-digestion procedure. The CSV voltammogram in 0.1 M HCl solution showed a peak for Se at −0.56 V.

Manganese detection in marine sediments: anodic vs. cathodic stripping voltammetry

open access: yesTalanta, 2005
Three different electroanalytical techniques for the detection of manganese in marine sediments are evaluated. The anodic stripping voltammetry of manganese at an in situ bismuth-film-modified boron-doped diamond electrode and cathodic stripping ...

Cathodic stripping voltammetry of lead

Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry, 1969
Summary A method of lead analysis by the cathodic stripping voltammetry technique is suggested in the present study. The experimental conditions and the influence of these factors on the behaviour of lead and sensitivity of the analysis are discussed.

Cathodic stripping voltammetry of manganese

Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry and Interfacial Electrochemistry, 1969
Summary A procedure is described for determining manganese in concentrations down to 10−9M using a cathodic stripping voltammetry technique. The conditions for the determination and the effect of the composition of the solution and of variations of the technique employed were studied.

Cathodic stripping voltammetry of 5-fluorouracil

The Analyst, 1987
An investigation has been carried out into the anodic differential-pulse polarographic and cathodic stripping voltammetric behaviour of the anticancer drug 5-fluorouracil at mercury indicator electrodes. The anodic peak, corresponding to the formation of a mercury salt, has been used for the determination of the drug in formulations with a relative ...

Cathodic stripping voltammetry and adsorptive stripping voltammetry of selenium(IV)

Analytica Chimica Acta, 1988
Abstract Cathodic stripping voltammetry of selenium(IV) in 0.1 M hydrochloric acid media yielded a nonlinear calibration graph for the concentration range 10−9−10−8 M. In this concentration range, adsorptive stripping voltammetry based on adsorption of the selenium/3,3′-diaminobenzidine complex on the surface of the hanging mercury drop electrode at ...

Cathodic stripping voltammetry of HgSe

Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry, 1994
Abstract The problem with the presence of several cathodic stripping peaks for HgSe in acidic Se(IV) solutions has been addressed using linear sweep, cyclic, square-wave and differential pulse stripping voltammetry at a hanging-mercury-drop electrode (HMDE).
