Effects of sold cattle manure composting

open access: yes, 2005
Compost production from natural solid cattle manure, as a mixture of excrements and wheat straw, is relatively new process in our agriculture. In this paper are investigated possibilities and effects of this kind of treatment of the organic fertilizers. Those fertilizers in its natural shape are significant problems on our farms.

Chemical Pretreatment of Cattle Manure to Improve Biogas Production

open access: yesTechnologica Acta : Scientific/professional journal of chemistry and technology
Great potential in gas production is found in raw materials of organic origin, such as manure, waste sludge, food residues and the like. In order to speed up the process of biogas production, that is, the first stage of hydrolysis, it is necessary to pre-process the substrate.

ACTH suppression and adverse effects of cabergoline in horses with pituitary pars intermedia dysfunction

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Education, EarlyView.
Summary Background The diagnosis and management of pituitary pars intermedia dysfunction (PPID) in horses includes evaluating abnormal plasma concentrations of adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH). Treatment commonly includes the oral dopamine agonist pergolide mesylate, which suppresses the pathologic overproduction of ACTH.

Beyond the Wind: Mapping Externalities and Their Role in Shaping Willingness To Pay for Wind Energy

open access: yesJournal of Economic Surveys, EarlyView.
ABSTRACTWind power plays a central role in global low‐carbon energy transitions, offering significant environmental benefits through reduced greenhouse gas emissions and decreased reliance on fossil fuels. Yet, local opposition to wind projects persists, often driven by perceived externalities affecting communities and landscapes. This study conducts a

Effect of Cattle Manure and NPK Fertilizers on Growth and Yield of Potatoes (Solanum Tuberosum).

open access: yes
The study assessed the effect of Cattle manure and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of potatoes. The study was guided by two objectives. To compare the effect of cattle manure and NPK on vegetative growth of potato plants, to compare the effect of ...

Strategies for Legitimizing Regeneration in Supply Chain Fields

open access: yesJournal of Supply Chain Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In view of escalating environmental degradation, regenerative business has been proposed to restore social–ecological systems. However, as regeneration fundamentally departs from mainstream approaches and lacks commonly accepted standards, it suffers from a liability of newness that hampers its broader legitimation and adoption.

Full‐length coding sequence analysis of the voltage‐gated sodium channel and acetylcholinesterase genes reveals target‐site mutations and acetylcholinesterase gene duplication in housefly (Musca domestica) populations in Japanese livestock barns

open access: yesMedical and Veterinary Entomology, EarlyView.
We simultaneously analysed insecticide resistance mutations in VGSC and AChE using NGS and hybridization probe capture in houseflies collected from livestock facilities for the first time. Resistance mutations in both VGSC and AChE were detected in most wild populations, suggesting widespread distribution of resistance genes.
