Mixed‐Metal Promotion in a Manganese‐Molybdenum Oxynitride as Catalyst to Integrate C─C and C─N Coupling Reactions for the Direct Synthesis of Acetonitrile from Syngas and Ammonia

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.

A Fixed Point Approach to the Stability of Quadratic Functional Equation with Involution

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Applications, 2008
Cădariu and Radu applied the fixed point method to the investigation of Cauchy and Jensen functional equations. In this paper, we will adopt the idea of Cădariu and Radu to prove the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of the quadratic functional equation

Functional Inequalities Associated with Cauchy Additive Functional Equation in Non-Archimedean Spaces

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2011
We investigate the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of the functional inequalities ∥f((x+y+z)/4)+f((3x−y−4z)/4)+f((4x+3z)/4)∥≤∥2f(x)∥ and ∥f((y−x)/3)+f((x−3z)/3)+f((3x+3z−y)/3)∥≤∥f(x)∥ in non-Archimedean normed spaces in the spirit of the Th. M.

The Cauchy-Riemann Differential Equations of Complex Functions [PDF]

open access: yesFormalized Mathematics, 2009
Summary. In this article we prove Cauchy-Riemann dierential equations of complex functions. These theorems give necessary and sucient condition for dierentiable function.

A variational approach towards solving an ill-posed cauchy problem for a functional-differential equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We investigate an ill-posed Cauchy problem for a linear functional differential equation of retarded type on the negative half-line. Using a step-by-step procedure this problem is replaced by an inverse problem for an operator equation of the first kind ...

A Survey of Interlayer Interaction Models for Graphene and Other 2D Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Van der Waals interactions arising from electronic polarization at atomically close interfaces generate corrugated interlayer energy landscapes that govern normal and tangential tractions. This review presents an overview of quantum, atomistic, analytical, and continuum modeling approaches, highlighting their roles across length scales in capturing ...

A 3D‐Printed Blister Test Platform for Quantifying Biointerface Adhesion Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed blister platform enables energy‐resolved characterization of soft hydrogel–rigid interfaces. Integrating precision pressure control with hyperelastic modeling directly quantifies adhesion energy (G) and R‐curve toughening. Results reveal that modulating hydrogel concentration and surface roughness drives a tunable transition from cohesive ...

Testing and Simulation of Multilayer Polyvinylidene Fluoride‐Based Piezoelectric Energy Harvester Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
The study considers the use of polymer/dielectric‐based multilayers piezoelectric Energy Harvesters (EH) to produce an output voltage and current, by exploiting the mechanical energy provided by human organs movements. In particular, the heart motion is considered from the kinematic viewpoint, and a multiphysics theoretical model is developed to assess
