The evaluation of cauchy principal value integrals in the boundary element method—a review
The concept of the Cauchy principle value (CPV) integral \(\oint^{b}_{a}g(x)dx:=\lim_{\epsilon \to 0^+}[\int^{s- \epsilon}_{a}g(x)dx+\int^{b}_{s+\epsilon}g(x)dx]\) and its relationship to the boundary integral equations from boundary element methods are surveyed. The evaluation of CPV integrals can be classified as indirect or direct approaches.

A Bayes factor framework for unified parameter estimation and hypothesis testing
Abstract The Bayes factor, the data‐based updating factor of the prior to posterior odds of two hypotheses, is a natural measure of statistical evidence for one hypothesis over the other. We show how Bayes factors can also be used for parameter estimation.
