Mass accretion rates of clusters of galaxies: CIRS and HeCS
We use a new spherical accretion recipe tested on N-body simulations to measure the observed mass accretion rate (MAR) of 129 clusters in the Cluster Infall Regions in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (CIRS) and in the Hectospec Cluster Survey (HeCS).

Caustic Skeleton & Cosmic Web [PDF]
We present a general formalism for identifying the caustic structure of an evolving mass distribution in an arbitrary dimensional space. For the class of Hamiltonian fluids the identification corresponds to the classification of singularities in Lagrangian catastrophe theory.

Causticizing process in direct causticizing technology.
Fundamental and bench scale experiment of our association has been finished. Pilot plant test is now under running and data have been accumulated and analyzed. The results of fundamental and bench scale test are summerized as follows.(1) It was confirmed that the development target which is shown below could be accomplished.Reaction Temperature 70-80 ...

Dynamical phase transitions, caustics, and quantum dark bands
We provide a new perspective on quantum dynamical phase transitions (DPTs) by explaining their origin in terms of caustics that form in the Fock space representation of the many-body state over time, using the fully connected transverse field Ising model

Point diffraction interferometry to measure local curvatures and caustics of noisy wave fronts: Application for determining optical properties of fish lenses [PDF]
The study of caustics is important because they contain information about the image formation properties of optical systems. In this work we use the concept of caustic as a set of focal points, and we have developed a second order approach theory to ...

Caustics of Non-Paraxial Perfect Optical Vortices Generated by Toroidal Vortex Lenses
In this paper, we consider the comparative formation of perfect optical vortices in the non-paraxial mode using various optical elements: non-paraxial and parabolic toroidal vortex lenses, as well as a vortex axicon in combination with a parabolic lens ...

Dark matter caustics and the enhancement of self-annihilation flux
Cold dark matter haloes are populated by caustics, which are yet to be resolved in N-body simulations or observed in the Universe. Secondary infall model provides a paradigm for the study of caustics in "typical" haloes assuming that they have had no ...

Caustics of $1/r^n$ binary gravitational lenses: from galactic haloes to exotic matter
We investigate the caustic topologies for binary gravitational lenses made up of two objects whose gravitational potential declines as $1/r^n$. With $n1$ regime can be obtained with some violations of the energy conditions, one famous example being the ...
