Cavitation tunnel in Naval Architecture: from cavitation prediction to radiated noise

2019
Cavitation tunnels represent one of the most important typologies of model test ing facilities used in Naval Architecture These facilities are employed to study the hydrodynamics of marine propellers, with special attention on cavitation and its side effects.

Optimization of Geometry of Cavitational Tunnel Using CFD Method

2018
The liquid flow through a various kind of installation or devices is still not fully clarified issue. The liquid flow is assisted by a stream swirling, local pressure drops or changes of flow rates or temperature. CFD methods have been already implemented for few years to analyze phenomena related to the liquid flow.

On predicting the sound from a cavitating marine propeller in a tunnel

2017
Model tests in a cavitation tunnel are commonly used in order to predict the radiated noise from full-scale marine propellers. Correction factors and scaling procedures are commonly used in estimating the effects of background noise and the propeller model scale. Less attention is paid to the influence of the tunnel related factors.
