Screening the Chemical Composition, Antioxidant Activity, and Toxicity of Ten Species of Non-Conventional Food Plants From Southern Brazil. [PDF]
Chem BiodiversThis study found that the ten unconventional food plants from southern Brazil studied exhibited high antioxidant activity, a diversity of phenolic compounds, and no toxicity in vivo. These data demonstrate that these plants have promising benefits for human health and may be a potential protective agent against oxidative damage.
