An attempt of using leaky cable at 400MHz in CBTC system
2014 IEEE International Conference on Communiction Problem-solving, 2014This paper introduces a novel train-ground wireless system at 400 MHz based on leaky cable transmission of communication based train control (CBTC) in urban rail transit. Adopting 400MHz band is to avoid the interference of civil equipment at 2.4GHz. Benefited from low frequency band, leaky cable can provide longer transmission distance without relay ...

Research on Data Storage Unit for Interoperation CBTC System
2019 IEEE 2nd International Conference on Electronics and Communication Engineering (ICECE), 2019To overcame the shortcoming that the CBTC interoperable system cannot deal with temporary speed limit informaiton across ZC control zone, a new interoperable DSU structure incorporated into the existing CBTC is studied and designed. Interface between subsystems and Data Storage Unit (DSU) systems changes are illustrated and analyzed, and also the ...

A Cognitive Control Method for Cost-Efficient CBTC Systems With Smart Grids
IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, 2017Communication-based train control (CBTC) systems use wireless local area networks for information transmission between trains and wayside equipment. Since inevitable packet delay and drop are introduced in train–wayside communications, information uncertainties in trains' states will lead to unplanned traction/braking demands, as well as waste in ...

Safety Analysis of a CBTC System: A Rigorous Approach with Event-B
2017This paper describes a safety analysis effort on RATP’s communication-based train control (CBTC) system Octys. This CBTC is designed for multi-sourcing and brownfield deployment on an existing interlocking infrastructure. Octys is already in operation on several metro lines in Paris, and RATP plans its deployment on several other lines in the ...

A novel handover scheme in wireless LAN in CBTC system
Proceedings of 2011 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations, Logistics and Informatics, 2011Wireless LAN technologies are adopted in most train-wayside communication systems in CBTC. The handover interruption time between WLAN APs is one of the key parameters which affect the train-wayside communication performance. A location based handover scheme for WLAN in tunnels is proposed in this paper for the CBTC system.
