Solution to the Cosmological Constant Problem in a Regge Quantum Gravity Model

open access: yes, 2015
We show that it is possible to solve the cosmological constant (CC) problem in a discrete quantum gravity theory based on Regge calculus by using the effective action approach and a special path-integral measure.

Adherence to Protocol Recommendations for Children With Wilms Tumour in Two Consecutive Studies in the United Kingdom and Ireland—Does Variation Matter?

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.

Deuteron-like states composed of two doubly charmed baryons

open access: yes, 2017
We present a systematic investigation of the possible molecular states composed of a pair of doubly charmed baryons ($\Xi_{cc}\Xi_{cc}$) or one doubly charmed baryon and one doubly charmed antibaryon $(\Xi_{cc}\bar{\Xi}_{cc})$ within the framework of the

Sirolimus for Extracranial Arteriovenous Malformations: A Scoping Review of the Evidence in Syndromic and Non‐Syndromic Cases

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Prediction of triple-charm molecular pentaquarks

open access: yes, 2017
In a one-boson-exchange model, we study molecular states of double-charm baryon ($\Xi_{cc}(3621)$) and a charmed meson ($D$ and $D^*$). Our model indicates that there exist two possible triple-charm molecular pentaquarks, a $\Xi_{cc}D$ state with $I(J^P)=

Intravitreal GD2‐Specific Chimeric Antigen Receptor T‐Cell Therapy for Refractory Retinoblastoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Effective treatments for advanced, treatment‐resistant retinoblastoma (RB) remain limited. GD2‐specific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells show potent antitumor activity with minimal toxicity but have not previously been evaluated in RB.

Outcomes of Live Virus Vaccination in Patients With Vascular Anomalies Being Treated With Sirolimus

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Live vaccination in patients with vascular anomalies (VA) receiving sirolimus remains controversial due to immunosuppressive effects and theoretical risks. Procedure This single‐center retrospective study included patients with VA less than 4 years old at the start of sirolimus therapy who were incompletely vaccinated.

Distributed CCS

open access: yesDAIMI Report Series, 1991
In this paper we describe a technique to extend a process language such as CCS which does not model many aspects of distributed computation to one which does. The idea is to use a concept of location which represents a virtual node. Processes at different locations can evolve independently.

A note on a problem in communication complexity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this note, we prove a version of Tarui's Theorem in communication complexity, namely $PH^{cc} \subseteq BP\cdot PP^{cc}$. Consequently, every measure for $PP^{cc}$ leads to a measure for $PH^{cc}$, subsuming a result of Linial and Shraibman that ...
