Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi alleviate Cd phytotoxicity by altering Cd subcellular distribution and chemical forms in Zea mays.

Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety, 2019
Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (AMF) can relieve Cd phytotoxicity and improve plant growth, but the mechanisms involved in this process have still been not completely known.

A newly discovered Cd-hyperaccumulator Lantana camara L.

Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2019
The identification of hyperaccumulators is a key step for the phytoextraction of contaminated soils. However, few cadmium (Cd) hyperaccumulators have been identified in the plant kingdom. In our previous field investigations, Lantana camara L.

Nano-scale zero valent iron modulates Fe/Cd transporters and immobilizes soil Cd for production of Cd free rice.

Chemosphere, 2020
In recent decades, nanoscale zero valent iron (nZVI) has been found to be a promising approach for heavy metal remediation. This study is the first report highlighting the role of nZVI to ameliorate Cadmium (Cd) stress in rice along with its effects in ...

4p-5s transitions in Cd XII, Cd XIII and Cd XIV

Journal of Physics B: Atomic and Molecular Physics, 1984
The spectrum of a cadmium plasma produced by a 1.5 J, 25 ns ruby laser is dominated in the 80-110 AA region by 4p-5s transitions in ion stages XII to XIV. A number of lines from the transitions 4p64d-4p54d5s, 4p6-4p55s and 4p5-4p45s have been identified with the aid of Hartree-Fock and Dirac-Fock calculations.

Accumulation and fixation of Cd by tomato cell wall pectin under Cd stress

Environmental and Experimental Botany, 2019
The plant cell wall acts as a barrier to prevent heavy metal ions from entering the plant cytoplasm. To study the mechanism of Cd fixation by tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) cell wall pectin, the expression levels of pectin synthesis and pectin-modifying ...

Effect of Cd on growth, physiological response, Cd subcellular distribution and chemical forms of Koelreuteria paniculata.

Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety, 2018
Koelreuteria paniculata were cultivated in nutrient solution with different concentrations of Cd (0, 50, 150, 250 and 500 µM) and sampled after 90 days.

Biochar significantly alters rhizobacterial communities and reduces Cd concentration in rice grains grown on Cd-contaminated soils.

Science of the Total Environment, 2019
Cadmium (Cd) contamination poses a serious problem in paddy soils. Biochar is frequently reported to deactivate Cd in soils and reduce Cd accumulation in rice plants, but few studies have addressed whether and how biochar affected the microbial ...

CD Error Characterization; Differences Between CD-ROM and Writable CD

Optical Data Storage, 1994
Read only Compact Discs (CDs), such as the CD-ROM and Digital Audio CD, are made by concurrently forming the plastic disc and the spiral track of pits that represent the data carried on the surface of the disc via an injection molding operation, and subsequently applying a reflective metal layer in a vacuum coating step and a protective polymer layer ...
