Development and characterization of recombinant ASFV CD2v protein nanoparticle-induced monoclonal antibody

open access: closedInternational Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2022
African swine fever (ASF) caused by African swine fever virus (ASFV) is becoming a serious threat to the swine industry worldwide. CD2v is a key pathogenic factor of ASFV and the protective antigen with low immunogenicity, whereas viral protein-based nanoparticles have advantages of precise assembly and high immunogenicity.

Investigation of subunit vaccine candidates against african swine fever vaccine candidates derived from subdomains of the transmembrane protein CD2v, using immunoinformatics and molecular dynamics metods

open access: closedКристаллография / Crystallography Reports
African swine fever (ASF) remains a global threat to pig production, causing economic losses. In this study, a theoretical comparison of candidate subunit vaccines based on the ASFV transmembrane protein CD2v was performed. Three supramembrane subdomains of CD2v were evaluated using immunoinformatics, structure prediction and molecular modeling methods.

African swine fever is a viral haemorrhagic disease of domestic pigs and wild boar and is a serious threat to the economy of many countries. No vaccines are available to induce protection in pigs against this lethal disease. The most promising approach for vaccine development is the use of modified live attenuated vaccines (MLAV) and these can confer ...
