Gaussian Processes for Predictive QSAR Modeling of Chromatographic Processes

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chromatography is a key unit operation in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing process used for protein purification and polishing. Design and optimization of these processes are resource‐intensive resulting from the complex combinatorial design space.

Navigating the Net Zero Transition: Towards Improved Effectiveness of Corporate Decarbonization Strategies

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT With net zero CO2 emissions as the benchmark for mitigating the worst impacts of climate change by mid‐century, businesses are urged to deploy robust reduction measures. However, in light of increasing emissions globally, the effectiveness of current corporate decarbonization strategies remains unclear.

Recombinant Monoclonal Antibodies for Detecting the Tubulin Post‐Translational Modifications Glutamylation and Lysine‐40 Acetylation

open access: yesCytoskeleton, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Post‐translational modifications (PTMs) to tubulin subunits in microtubule filaments are thought to comprise a component of the tubulin code that specifies microtubule functions in cell physiology and animal development. Acetylation of Lysine‐40 (K40) on α‐tubulin (αTub‐K40ac) and glutamylation of both α‐ and β‐tubulin are two tubulin PTMs of ...

Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic analysis of 5-aza-2’-deoxycytidine (decitabine) in the design of its dose-schedule for cancer therapy

open access: yesClinical Epigenetics, 2013
5-Aza-2′-deoxycytidine (5-AZA-CdR, decitabine), an epigenetic drug that inhibits DNA methylation, is currently used to treat myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), and is under investigation for treating acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and other malignancies.

Connecting the dots: A narrative review of the relationship between heart failure and cognitive impairment

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 1119-1131, April 2025.
Abstract Large clinical data underscore that heart failure is independently associated to an increased risk of negative cognitive outcome and dementia. Emerging evidence suggests that cerebral hypoperfusion, stemming from reduced cardiac output and vascular pathology, may contribute to the largely overlapping vascular dementia and Alzheimer's disease ...

Optimization of low sintering temperature for colossal permittivity and humidity resistance in TiO2 based ceramics

open access: yesScientific Reports
This study investigates the colossal permittivity (CP) and humidity resistance of (Sn1/2Nb1/2)0.025Ti0.975O2 ceramics. Increasing the sintering temperature enhanced both density and grain growth, with the fine–grained structure proving essential for ...

Quantifying the impact of a computer‐aided diagnostic score on the clinical diagnosis of functional seizures

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective The diagnosis of functional/dissociative seizures (FDS) without ictal video‐electroencephalography is challenging. The Functional/Dissociative Seizures Likelihood Score (FSLS) is a machine learning‐based diagnostic score that aims to help clinicians identify FDS.

Tuning enhanced dielectric properties of (Sc3+–Ta5+) substituted TiO2 via insulating surface layers

open access: yesScientific Reports
In this study, we achieved significantly enhanced giant dielectric properties (EG-DPs) in Sc3+–Ta5+ co-doped rutile-TiO2 (STTO) ceramics with a low loss tangent (tanδ ≈ 0.05) and high dielectric permittivity (ε′ ≈ 2.4 × 104 at 1 kHz).
