Amorphous Se/CdSe and SiO x /CdSe multilayers
SPIE Proceedings, 1998Amorphous multilayers based on Se and CdSe alternated sublayers were successfully prepared by thermal vacuum evaporation and laser ablation with the periodicity of 22 nm. The multilayer structure is stable up to approximately 70 degree(s)C. In the samples prepared by laser ablation a large contraction of the multilayer stacking occurs by annealing ...

Investigation of Trion Emission in CdSe/CdSeS Core/Crown Nanoplatelets
The Journal of Physical Chemistry LettersQuasi-two-dimensional CdSe nanoplatelets (NPLs) exhibit promising potential for optoelectronic device applications due to their unique optical properties, particularly trion emission. However, the origin of the trion emission in CdSe NPLs remains unclear.

Nature and Decay Pathways of Photoexcited States in CdSe and CdSe/CdS Nanoplatelets
Nano Letters, 2014The nature and decay dynamics of photoexcited states in CdSe core-only and CdSe/CdS core/shell nanoplatelets was studied. The photophysical species produced after ultrafast photoexcitation are studied using a combination of time-resolved photoluminescence (PL), transient absorption (TA), and terahertz (THz) conductivity measurements.

The size and shape dependent semiconductor quantum dots (0D nanoparticles) with color tunability demonstrating significant influence in a biological system and considered as ideal probes. Here, a non-coordinated colloidal approach was used for the synthesis of CdSe, CdSe/ZnS and CdSe/CdS core-shell quantum dots (QDs) of 3-4nm.

The photoconductivity in cadmium selenide single crystals is investigated to determine if the Klasens picture properly describes the electronic phenomena in this material. It is found that the simple two-state model is inadequate and at least three recombination centers, and possibly four, are needed for consistency.
