Plasma CEA, tumor CEA, and tumor histology

Journal of Surgical Oncology, 1976
AbstractCarcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) has been thought to be a diagnostic and prognostic indicator of colorectal cancer. Initial descriptions of CEA as a tumor specific antigen suggests a relationship between tumor CEA and circulating plasma CEA. To define the relationship between CEA and colorectal carcinoma, we have studied the CEA concentration of ...

CEA and genetics

Diseases of the Colon & Rectum, 1983
During an eight-year period, serial plasma determinations were made on members of a Gardner's syndrome family in order to see if 1. levels rise when polyps first appear, and when cancer occurs; and 2. levels fall after colectomy with ileoproctostomy, ileostomy, or rectal mucosal replacement surgery.

Multiple Smith-degradations of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and of asialo CEA

Carbohydrate Research, 1975
Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and asialo CEA were subjected to multiple Smith-degradation (i.e., for each degradation, application in sequence of periodate oxidation, borohydride reduction, and mild hydrolysis with acid; borohydride-t was substituted for unlabelled borohydride). High yields of modified glycoproteins were obtained at each stage.

Delineation of Three Classes of CEA Antigenic Determinants: Identification of Membrane-Associated CEA as an Independent Species of CEA

The Journal of Immunology, 1977
Abstract The immunochemical relationship between membrane-associated CEA (CEA-M) and isolated conventional whole CEA and the species CEA-S was investigated. These glycoproteins gave precipitin reactions of apparent identity by using antisera to CEA-M and CEA-S; however, the binding of each of these glycoproteins relative to one another ...

CEA-Related CAMs

2004
The carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family comprises a large number of cellular surface molecules, the CEA-related cell adhesion molecules (CEACAMs), which belong to the Ig superfamily. CEACAMs exhibit a complex expression pattern in normal and malignant tissues.

CEA and CEA-like activity in gastric cancer.

Acta hepato-gastroenterologica, 1976
CEA activity was studied using a three-layer bridge immunoperoxidase method in paraffin-embedded histological sections of gastric mucosa from patients with gastric cancer and from normal asymptomatic subjects. In all cases gastric cancer cells showed CEA or CEA-like activity irrespective of the histological type of cancer.

CEA's 4K Ultra HD Logo Program [CEA Insights]

IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine, 2015
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) announced in November the availability of new 4K ultrahigh-definition (UHD) logos for use in identifying display products that meet CEA?s 4K UHD voluntary core characteristics. CEA is providing two logos for use (Figure 1)?4K UHD and 4K UHD Connected??available to manufacturers via a licensing agreement for ...
