Cecal fecaloma mimicking colonic neoplasm
We present the case of a young man with chronic diarrhea associated with an apparent cecal neoplasm roentgenographically. The lesion was diagnosed as a fecaloma only after the curative right hemicolectomy specimen was examined.

COEXISTENT cecal neoplasm with appendicular abscess is rather rare. In 1946 McLaughlin1in a review of the literature found only 11 such cases and added 1 of his own. In 1951 Hellsten and Ramstrom2of Sweden described four more cases. Thus we should be ever mindful of the fact that the differential diagnosis between an abscess in the right lower quadrant
