Triterpenes from Cedrela odorata

Phytochemistry, 1991
Abstract From the ethanolic extract of the heartwood of Cedrela odorata were isolated gedunin, 3β- O -β- d -glucopyranosyl-24-methyllenecholesterol, oleanonic acid, sitosterol, n -octacosanol and a new triterpene threo -23,24,25-trihydroxytirucall-7-en-3-one. Structural determinations of these compounds were made by spectrometric data.

Limonoids from the stem bark of Cedrela odorata

Phytochemistry, 2008
Four nomilin/obacunol derivatives and a swietenolide derivative, together with seven known limonoids, were isolated from stem bark of Cedrela odorata and their structures established by spectroscopic methods. Antifeedant activity of the isolated compounds was also tested.

Extractives of Cedrela odorata L.—III

Tetrahedron, 1969
Abstract An extract of Cedrela odorata L. has given a non-furanoid tetranortriterpene. This is shown to be closely related to gedunin with the furan ring modified as a γ-hydroxy α,β-butenolide.
