Twisted MoS2 Bilayers as Functional Elements in Memtransistors: Hysteresis, Optical Signatures, and Photocurrent Kinetics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Layered 2D materials are considered as promising for memristive applications due to their ultimate vertical scalability compared to conventional semiconductor films and pronounced hysteresis properties. Bias‐resolved Raman and Photoluminescence mapping is used to quantify strain from phonon shifts and carrier density from the exciton‐trion ...

The glass ceiling : is it a state of mind? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Much is written in the literature and press about women having to break through the glass ceiling, but is there indeed any truth in this theory? For some women, working their way up the promotion ladder can be a challenge, but is it really as difficult ...

Research Progress and Applications of Non‐Carrier‐Injection Electroluminescence

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Non‐carrier‐injection electroluminescence (NCI‐EL) uses AC fields and displacement currents to trigger light from internal charge reservoirs, enabling minimalist emitters with remotely coupled terminals. This review maps shared mechanisms across organics, GaN, quantum dots, and TMDCs, compares planar, interdigital, single‐terminal, and coaxial designs,

Emerging Materials and Future Strategies for Solid Oxide Electrochemical Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Solid oxide electrochemical cells operate under strongly coupled electrochemical and thermodynamic conditions, where performance is constrained by interactions among crystal structure, defect chemistry, and interfacial evolution. This review, based on a structure‐defect‐property‐durability framework, reveals the roles of lattice symmetry and defect ...

Unintended Consequences of Price Controls: An Application to Allowance Markets [PDF]

open access: yes
Price controls established in an emissions allowance market to constrain allowance prices between a ceiling and a floor offer a mechanism to reduce cost uncertainty in a cap-and-trade program; however, they could provide opportunities for strategic ...

Study on critical velocity in tunnels with ceiling beams

open access: yesJournal of Intelligent Construction
Ceiling beams at the top of tunnels are more common in actual projects. Under the influence of thermal buoyancy, the ceiling structure significantly affects the diffusion characteristics of fire smoke within the tunnel.
