Comparison of passive cell balancing and active cell balancing for automotive batteries

2011 IEEE Vehicle Power and Propulsion Conference, 2011
This paper presents a quantitative performance analysis of a conventional passive cell balancing method and a proposed active cell balancing method for automotive batteries. The proposed active cell balancing method was designed to perform continuous cell balancing during charge and discharge with high balancing current.

Biochemical Balance and Synchronized Cell Cultures

Nature, 1967
IN cell biochemistry, it is desirable to have criteria for identifying abnormal changes resulting from experimental manipulation, especially during the induction of synchrony. For this purpose, use has been made of the concept of unbalanced growth, first introduced by Cohen and Barner1, to explain the death of a thymine-requiring mutant of Escherichia ...

Fluid Balance in Sickle-Cell Disease

Archives of Internal Medicine, 1965
THE impairment of renal concentration during hydropenia in patients with sickle-cell disease has been recognized for several years. 1-5 Although other renal abnormalities have been reported, such as proteinuria, 6 hematuria, 7,8 nephrotic syndrome, 9 glomerulonephritis, 10 and papillary necrosis, 11 the hyposthenuria is by far the most commonly found ...
