A wall with integrity: surveillance and maintenance of the plant cell wall under stress [PDF]
SummaryThe structural and functional integrity of the cell wall needs to be constantly monitored and fine‐tuned to allow for growth while preventing mechanical failure. Many studies have advanced our understanding of the pathways that contribute to cell wall biosynthesis and how these pathways are regulated by external and internal cues.

Characterization of a Pre-Trajan wall by integrated geophysical methods [PDF]
The purpose of this study was to characterize a pre-Trajan mosaic-decorated wall structure located beneath the Cryptoporticus of the 'Baths of Trajan' complex in Rome. The surveyed wall is 15m long, 0.9m wide and 3 to 5m high.

Metabolic Coordination of Pericyte Phenotypes: Therapeutic Implications [PDF]
Pericytes are mural vascular cells found predominantly on the abluminal wall of capillaries, where they contribute to the maintenance of capillary structural integrity and vascular permeability. Generally quiescent cells in the adult, pericyte activation

PRX9 and PRX40 are essential class III peroxidases that act redundantly to cross-link extensins in tapetal cell walls, which prevents tapetum swelling and enables pollen development. Pollen and microspore development are essential steps in the life cycle

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.
