Analysis of Golgi Morphology Using Immunofluorescence and CellProfiler Software

2022
The architecture of the Golgi apparatus in mammalian cells changes dynamically in response to internal and external cues and may be permanently altered in disease states. Here, we present a method to quantify changes in Golgi morphology using immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy followed by CellProfiler software analysis.

A new approach to analysis of intracellular proteins and subcellular localization using cellprofiler and imageJ in combination

Methods, 2022
Analytical pipeline, which is used for various analysis application, of CellProfiler, an open-source software for cell imaging analysis, is very important. In the present study, to examine whether intracellular proteins can be discriminated using a combination of CellProfiler and ImageJ, we analyzed neuroblastoma and monocytic cell lines, and disease ...

Using CellProfiler for Automatic Identification and Measurement of Biological Objects in Images

Current Protocols in Molecular Biology, 2008
AbstractVisual analysis is required to perform many biological experiments, from counting yeast colonies to measuring the size and shape of individual cells or the intensity of fluorescently labeled proteins within them. This unit outlines the use of CellProfiler, a free, open‐source image analysis tool that extracts quantitative information from ...

Generating realistic single-cell images from CellProfiler representations

Medical Image Analysis
High-throughput imaging techniques acquire large amounts of images efficiently. These images contain rich biological information including cellular processes. A common method to analyse them is to encode them into quantitative representation vectors. Generally, there are two ways to extract cell biological information into representations, hand-crafted
