Study of Recrystallization in Metals through Equiaxial Growth of Nuclei by Computational Simulation with Three-Dimensional Hybrid Cellular Automata [PDF]
Cellular Automata (CA) are powerful simulation tools that operate through discrete elements and associations. CA undirected neighborhood searches may produce specific grain shapes (e.g., octahedral, cuboctahedral, cubic), but not spherical ones. However,

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Introducing probabilistic celular automata. A versatile extension of Game of Live [PDF]
The "Game of life" model was created in 1970 by the mathematician Jonh Horton Conway using cellular automata. Since then, di erent extensions of these cellular automata have been used in many applications, such as car traffic control or baggage traffic

Asynchronous automata versus asynchronous cellular automata
The investigations of \textit{A. Mazurkiewicz} [Concurrent program schemes and their interpretations, DAIMI-PB-78, Aarhus University (1977)] and \textit{W. Zielonka} [RAIRO Inf. Theor. Appl. 21, 99-135 (1987; Zbl 0623.68055); Lect. Notes Comput. Sci. 38, 278-289 (1989; Zbl 0678.68077)] are continued. It is proved that an asynchronous cellular automaton

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...

Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Cellular automata model based power network attack prediction technology
The prediction range of the traditional power network attack range prediction technology was not wide enough, resulting in the poor effect of power network security improvement. For this reason, a power network attack prediction technology based on ...
