On a zero speed sensitive cellular automaton [PDF]
Using an unusual, yet natural invariant measure we show that there exists a sensitive cellular automaton whose perturbations propagate at asymptotically null speed for almost all configurations. More specifically, we prove that Lyapunov Exponents measuring pointwise or average linear speeds of the faster perturbations are equal to zero.

Growth of surfaces generated by a probabilistic cellular automaton
A one-dimensional cellular automaton with a probabilistic evolution rule can generate stochastic surface growth in $(1 + 1)$ dimensions. Two such discrete models of surface growth are constructed from a probabilistic cellular automaton which is known to ...

The Thirring quantum cellular automaton [PDF]
We analytically diagonalize a discrete-time on-site interacting fermionic cellular automaton in the two-particle sector. Important features of the solutions sensibly differ from those of analogous Hamiltonian models.

A time-reversible cellular automaton can most easily be described by regarding its evolution law as a two-step process, for instance by first allowing the even sites to update, then the odd sites. The discrete Hamiltonian operator procedure of Chap. 19 may be used.

On the decomposition of stochastic cellular automata
In this paper we present two interesting properties of stochastic cellular automata that can be helpful in analyzing the dynamical behavior of such automata. The first property allows for calculating cell-wise probability distributions over the state set

One Dimensional $n$ary Density Classification Using Two Cellular Automaton Rules
Suppose each site on a one-dimensional chain with periodic boundary condition may take on any one of the states $0,1,..., n-1$, can you find out the most frequently occurring state using cellular automaton?

We investigate numerically the behaviour of damage spreading in a Kauffman cellular automaton with quenched rules on a dynamical $\phi^3$ graph, which is equivalent to coupling the model to discretized 2D gravity.

Transfer matrix analysis of one-dimensional majority cellular automata with thermal noise
Thermal noise in a cellular automaton refers to a random perturbation to its function which eventually leads this automaton to an equilibrium state controlled by a temperature parameter. We study the 1-dimensional majority-3 cellular automaton under this
