Understanding the Autonomous Electric Vehicle Cyber Threat Landscape: A Focus on Infrastructure, Threats and Ontology‐Based Modelling

open access: yesEnergy Internet, Volume 3, Issue 1, Page 39-51, April 2026.
ABSTRACT The development of autonomous electric vehicles (AEVs) represents the convergence of two simultaneous automotive revolutions: electric vehicles (EVs) and autonomous vehicles (AVs). AVs require sensors, decision‐making systems and actuation systems to achieve autonomous driving, whereas EVs require intelligent management and real‐time ...

Pathways to Zero‐Carbon Energy Systems in Remote Communities of Canada

open access: yesEnergy Storage, Volume 8, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Remote community energy systems in Canada are undergoing supply and load technology‐based interventions to support decarbonization efforts. As wind and solar electricity generators are the predominant energy sources, we evaluate zero‐carbon electrification pathways for remote microgrid applications over a long‐term planning horizon.

LIMA: Local and Lightweight Mutual Authentication for VANETs

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This work presents LIMA, a lightweight local authentication protocol for VANETs. It is a SAE J2735 compliant certificateless vehicle authentication that eliminates traditional PKI dependencies while providing geographic zone‐based security and time‐based attribute control.

Index theory of one dimensional quantum walks and cellular automata

open access: yes, 2011
If a one-dimensional quantum lattice system is subject to one step of a reversible discrete-time dynamics, it is intuitive that as much "quantum information" as moves into any given block of cells from the left, has to exit that block to the right.

Fusing Temporal‐Spectral Features for Interactive Vehicle Trajectory Prediction at Signalised Intersections

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper proposes a hierarchical GAN model for vehicle trajectory prediction at signalised intersections. The model innovatively fuses temporal and spectral trajectory features while explicitly modelling interactions using a multi‐factor attention pooling mechanism that incorporates relative position, velocity and vehicle type.

New Scheduling Scheme in Cellular V2X Communication

open access: yesEngineering, Technology & Applied Science Research
The enormous increase in mobile data traffic and the heterogeneity and stringent Quality of Service (QoS) requirements of different applications have placed a substantial strain on the underlying network infrastructure and represent a challenge for Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (Cellular V2X).

A Stochastic Geometry Framework for Enhancing Communication Efficiency and Road Safety in Connected and Autonomous Vehicles

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper introduces a stochastic geometry‐based analytical framework to evaluate and enhance communication reliability and road safety in connected autonomous vehicles (CAVs). By modeling roads using Poisson Line Processes and vehicle distributions with Poisson Point Processes, the framework enables accurate assessment of key performance metrics like

Eco‐Driving and Energy Management for Connected Hybrid Hub Motor Electric Vehicles: A Hierarchical Approach in Multi‐Signalised Traffic Intersections

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
The article addresses the eco‐driving and energy management problem of electric vehicles with hub motors. The proposed strategy aims to minimise energy consumption and allow the vehicle to navigate signalised intersections safely. ABSTRACT The trend of vehicle electrification has led many auto manufacturers to introduce new electric vehicle models in ...
