Cellulose acetate, cellulose acetate propionate and cellulose acetate butyrate membranes for water desalination applications

Cellulose, 2020
The most common reverse osmosis (RO) membranes that achieved economic water desalination applications are made of cellulose acetate (CA). Cellulose acetate propionate (CAP) and cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB) have been blended with CA as innovative combinations to produce RO membranes through phase inversion technique.

Immunoelectrophoresis with Cellulose Acetate

Nature, 1962
PREVIOUS results with immunoelectrophoresis, using human serum and its equine antiserum, have shown 25 serum constituents1. This communication shows that more than 35 precipitin lines may be obtained with an improved method.

Nanofabrication in cellulose acetate

Lab Chip, 2009
We have demonstrated nanofabrication with commercialized cellulose acetate. Cellulose acetate is used for bulk nanofabrication and surface nanofabrication. In bulk nanofabrication, cellulose acetate reacts with an e-beam and permanent patterns are formed in it instead of being transferred to other substrates.

Hydroxybutenyl cellulose acetates

Fibre Chemistry, 1997
The effect of the conditions of acetylation of hydroxybutenyl cellulose and vulcanization of the acetates obtained on the physicomechanical properties and structure of films and cloth was investigated. X-ray structural analysis and electron microscopy revealed the structural characteristics of the products of HBC — HBCA chemical transformations and the

Acetal Cellulose Reactants

Textile Research Journal, 1958
Three types of acetal cellulose reactants are discussed. Two are in commercial use and one is in the development stage. A general description of the nature of their re actions with cellulose is followed by an analysis of the data obtained from the laboratory evaluations of mill processed fabrics.

Countercurrent immunoelectrophoresis on cellulose acetate

Journal of Immunological Methods, 1976
A technique for the detection and demonstration of antigens or antibodies by means of countercurrent immunoelectrophoresis on cellulose acetate (CAM) is described. The method is simple, sensitive and rapid. There is no need for preliminary preparation. The samples are contained in wells punched in the CAM.

A cellulose acetate immunofixation technique

Journal of Immunological Methods, 1978
A method of immunofixation using CAM as the only substrate is described. It consists of separating the proteins by conventional electrophoresis followed by immersion for a few minutes only in appropriate specific antiserum suitably diluted with barbitone buffer containing polyethylene glycol (PEG).
