Assessing and Predicting Air Pollution in Asia: A Regional and Temporal Study (2018-2023) [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal on Cybernetics & Informatics 14(1):27-40, 2025
This study analyzes and predicts air pollution in Asia, focusing on PM 2.5 levels from 2018 to 2023 across five regions: Central, East, South, Southeast, and West Asia. South Asia emerged as the most polluted region, with Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan consistently having the highest PM 2.5 levels and death rates, especially in Nepal, Pakistan, and ...

Observationally constrained projection of the reduced intensification of extreme climate events in Central Asia from 0.5 °C less global warming

open access: yesClimate Dynamics, 2019
Arid Central Asia is highly vulnerable to extreme climate events. Information on potential future changes in extreme climate events in Central Asia is limited. In this study, the performances of models from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project phase

Comparing self‐reported race and genetic ancestry for identifying potential differentially methylated sites in endometrial cancer: insights from African ancestry proportions using machine learning models

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Integrating ancestry, differential methylation analysis, and machine learning, we identified robust epigenetic signature genes (ESGs) and Core‐ESGs in Black and White women with endometrial cancer. Core‐ESGs (namely APOBEC1 and PLEKHG5) methylation levels were significantly associated with survival, with tumors from high African ancestry (THA) showing ...

Prevalence of hepatitis B surface antibody among previously vaccinated healthcare workers in Tashkent, Uzbekistan

open access: yesHuman Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics
Healthcare workers (HCW) have high occupational risk for hepatitis B and Uzbekistan held two HCW vaccination campaigns in 2015 and 2022. Hepatitis B antibody testing (anti-HBs) after Hepatitis B (HepB) vaccination is recommended by the U.S.

Recent Lake Area Changes in Central Asia

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2019
Using Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) 500 m spatial resolution global water product data, Least Squares Method (LSM) was applied to analyze changes in the area of 14 lakes in Central Asia from 2001 to 2016.

Evaluation of KRAS and NRAS mutations in metastatic colorectal cancer: an 8‐year study of 10 754 patients in Turkey

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This nationwide study evaluated KRAS and NRAS mutations in 10 754 Turkish patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. The results revealed a mutation frequency of 51.1%, with 46.6% having KRAS mutations, 4.5% having NRAS mutations, and 48.5% being wild‐type for both.

Non-Standard Analysis for Regularization of Geometric-Zeno Behaviour in Hybrid Systems

open access: yesSystems, 2020
Geometric-Zeno behaviour is a highly challenging problem in the analysis (including simulation) of hybrid systems. Geometric-Zeno can be defined as an infinite number of discrete mode switches in a finite time interval.

Exacerbated grassland degradation and desertification in Central Asia during 2000-2014.

open access: yesEcological Applications, 2018
Grassland degradation and desertification is a complex process, including both state conversion (e.g., grasslands to deserts) and gradual within-state change (e.g., greenness dynamics). Existing studies hardly separated the two components and analyzed it
