Central corneal thickness in premature babies
Acta Ophthalmologica, 1991Abstract. Central corneal thickness was measured in 13 premature babies with a gestational age below 33 weeks. No difference was found between the thickness in the first and third post‐natal week. At the age of 3 months the thickness had decreased significantly to the same level previously reported in full‐term newborns.

Central and peripheral corneal thickness in newborns
Acta Ophthalmologica, 1991Abstract. Central and peripheral corneal thickness was measured in 74 newborn children. The mean central corneal thickness was 0.573 ± 0.052 mm. The mean peripheral thickness was 0.650 ± 0.062 mm. There was no significant difference between right and left eyes, sex, gestational age or type of delivery.

The aim of the study was to quantify Scheimpflug corneal densitometry in patients with Fuchs endothelial dystrophy (FED).In this study, we retrospectively reviewed the charts and anterior segment data of 49 patients with FED before posterior lamellar keratoplasty and 51 healthy controls.

Central corneal thickness in southern Egypt
International Ophthalmology, 2013The study aimed to determine mean central corneal thickness (CCT) in a southern Egyptian population according to gender and age using ultrasonic pachymetry and to compare these CCT measurements to different populations. A prospective, observational, consecutive case series of 4,368 non-glaucomatous subjects (emmetropes and myopes) aged 16-70 years was ...

CORNEAL THICKNESS CHANGES ACCOMPANYING CENTRAL CORNEAL CLOUDING
Optometry and Vision Science, 1971ABSTRACT Corneal thickness measurements were made before and after central corneal clouding was caused by a tightly fitted contact lens. The area of corneal thickening corresponded to the observed area of central corneal clouding.

Effect of Timolol on Central Corneal Thickness
European Journal of Ophthalmology, 2013Purpose Timolol is an effective and safe medication that is widely used in glaucoma treatment. Although it is known that it is quickly taken up by the cornea following topical administration and that the cornea exhibits β-adrenergic receptors, there are few studies available on the clinical impact of timolol on ...

Central Corneal Thickness in the Ocular Hypertension Treatment Study (OHTS).
Ophthalmology (Rochester, Minn.), 2020OBJECTIVE Central corneal thickness influences intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement. We examined the central corneal thickness of subjects in the Ocular Hypertension Treatment Study (OHTS) and determined if central corneal thickness is related to race.
