Intraventricular Central Neurocytoma [PDF]
ABSTRACT:A case of central neurocytoma treated surgically is described. The authors review the literature. Emphasis is placed on radiological and pathological features not previously described. In particular, the intra-operative ultrasound appearance is described. The role of adjunctive radiotherapy is also discussed.

Extraventricular Neurocytoma in Parietal Lobe
Extraventricular neurocytoma (EVN) was classified as a World Health Organization (WHO) grade II tumor; however, EVN is not fully understood; it presents a variable histological feature that included oligodendroglioma-like, neuropil-like matrix, ganglion ...

Atypical Central Neurocytoma [PDF]
The proliferative potential of central neurocytomas was determined in a biopsy series of 36 cases and compared with clinical outcome. The mean size of the growth fraction, as determined by MIB-1 labeling index (MIB-1 LI) at first biopsy, was 2.8 +/- 2.5 with a range of 0.1 to 8.6%.

Extraventricular neurocytoma (EVN) is a rare neuroepithelial tumor. Its propensity to occur in cerebral hemisphere is much higher. EVN has a histological resemblance to central neurocytoma but radiologically, it is more complex.

Neuroradiological and histopathological findings of intraventricular central neurocytoma
Central neurocytomas are rare neuroectodermal tumors believed to arise from the subependymal matrix of the lateral ventricles. Intraventricular central neurocytoma is a benign primary central nervous system tumor of neuronal origin that is usually ...

A case of recurrent epilepsy-associated rosette-forming glioneuronal tumor with anaplastic transformation in the absence of therapy. [PDF]
Rosette-forming glioneuronal tumor (RGNT) most commonly occurs adjacent to the fourth ventricle and therefore rarely presents with epilepsy. Recent reports describe RGNT occurrence in other anatomical locations with considerable morphologic and genetic ...

Clinical outcome and prognostic factors for central neurocytoma: twenty year institutional experience [PDF]
Central neurocytomas are uncommon intraventricular neoplasms whose optimal management remains controversial due to their rarity. We assessed outcomes for a historical cohort of neurocytoma patients and evaluated effects of tumor atypia, size, resection ...
