Peroxidase‐Mimicking Nanozymes for Rapid Detection of Infectious Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Peroxidase‐mimicking nanozymes (PMNs) have emerged as robust and versatile materials for rapid infectious disease diagnostics. This review highlights the rational design and controlled synthesis of PMNs, summarizes key biomarkers relevant to infectious diseases, examines their integration into diverse rapid detection platforms, and highlights ...

Disproportions in the investment sphere and spatial-economic imbalance in Russia: a political-economic analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
Since the beginning of the twentieth century processes of centralization of economic and political power into the hands of the 'nomenklatura' have been taking place in Russia while in the Western capitalist countries the process of decentralization of ...

Peptide Receptor‐Functionalized AuNP‐Embedded Zwitterionic Biopolymeric Nanohydrogel for Electrochemical Sclerostin Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report an electrochemical biosensor that employs biopanning‐derived affinity peptides as selective receptors on a multifunctional chitosan–zwitterionic–gold nanoparticle (CS–ZI–AuNPs) nanohydrogel interface. The CS–ZI–AuNPs nanohydrogel exhibits antifouling properties, abundant sites for stable peptide immobilization, and efficient electrochemical ...

Costs, Preferences, and Institutions: An Empirical Analysis of the Determinants of Government Decentralization [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper examines the factors determining vertical government structures. An empirical analysis for a panel of OECD countries indicates that apart from preferences, economies of scale, and other factors, institutions explain cross-national differences ...

Unsaturated Coordination Oxygen in Zn─V─O Vacancy Clusters Enables Superb Zinc Storage Capability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Zn3(VO4)2 with Zn─V─O vacancy clusters was synthesized and innovatively applied as cathode material in aqueous Zn‐ion batteries. In‐situ XRD, HRTEM and ab initio molecular dynamics simulations unveil the double reaction mechanism of zinc ions. Adsorption of zinc ions on unsaturated coordination O and H+ on O in ‐VO4 contributes to the main capacity. It

Central Bank Independence, Centralization of Wage Bargaining, Inflation and Unemployment: Theory and Evidence [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper proposes a conceptual framework that makes it possible to investigate the effects of central bank independence, the degree of centralization of wage bargaining and the interaction between those institutional variables on the real wage ...

Neuromorphic Motor Control with Electrolyte‐Gated Organic Synaptic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Electrolyte‐gated organic synaptic transistor (EGOST)‐based neuromorphic motor control systems integrate sensing, processing, and actuation by mimicking biological synapses. With advantages such as low power consumption, tunable synaptic plasticity, and mechanical flexibility, they are emerging as next‐generation core technologies for real‐time ...

Employment effects of centralization in wage setting in a median voter model [PDF]

open access: yes
"Most models on centralization in wage setting rest on the assumption of identical firms. This stands in sharp contrast to informal statements against centralization wich rest on the argument that firms are heterogenous and that equal treatment of firms ...

Optical Charge Trap Memory Based on Graphene/ZnO Heterostructures for Long‐Term Retention and Adaptive Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A biocompatible graphene/ZnO optical charge trap memory (CTM) is reported with over 54 h retention, enabled by interfacial photodoping. Using transient absorption spectroscopy and electrical analysis, charge transfer quenching is elucidated and reveal that a large energy barrier at the interface is responsible for long‐term memory retention.

Synchronization of Analog Neuron Circuits With Digital Memristive Synapses: An Hybrid Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
An hybrid circuit mimicking neural units coupled using memristive synapses is introduced. The analog neurons provide flexibility and robustness, and the digital memristive coupling guarantees the full reconfigurability of the interconnection. The onset of a synchronized spiking behavior in two circuits mimicking the Izhikevich neuron is discussed from ...
