Centre of gravity of motor vehicles
Forensic Science InternationalIn vehicular accident reconstruction, a number of parameters need to be estimated, as commonly no specific measurement data or convenient measurement methods are available. One of these parameters is the position of a car's centre of gravity. Depending on the impact configuration, the centre of gravity may have a significant influence on the ...

GRAVITY and the Galactic Centre
2019On a clear night, our home galaxy, the Milky Way, is visible as a starry ribbon across the sky. Its core is located in the constellation of Sagittarius, approximately where the bright glow is interrupted by the darkest dust filaments. There, hidden, lies a massive black hole. To peer through the obscuring clouds and see the stars and gas near the black

Dyslexia and the centre-of-gravity effect
Experimental Brain Research, 2001When human observers are presented with a double target display, a saccadic eye movement is triggered to an intermediate position close to the 'centre-of-gravity' of the configuration. This study examined the saccadic eye movements of dyslexic and normal readers in response to displays of single and double targets.
