A “centre of gravity” theorem in second order

Nuclear Physics, 1962
The energy spectrum of a system consisting of a nucleon coupled to a spherical core, performing harmonic 2/sup K-pole vibrations of frequency omega , is considered in secondorder perturbation theory. It is found that the separation between the centers of gravity of the core-multiplets'' differs for h omega by a term which is small in most cases. (auth)

Centre of Gravity of Annual Rainfall

Nature, 1910
THE ordinary method of exhibiting the annual distribution of rainfall for any station or country is a graph the ordinates of which represent the monthly rainfall. Though this pictorial method is both useful and interesting, it does not lend itself to the ready comparison of a number of such graphs for different places or for the same place in different
