Impact of 14 days of head‐down bed rest and an exercise countermeasure on skeletal muscle atrophy, proteome and circulatory cytokines in older adults

Abstract Prolonged bed rest and immobilization have deleterious effects on skeletal muscle mass and function, especially in older adults. These can lead to reduced physical capacity and quality of life. Previous experiments in younger individuals show that exercise can mitigate these effects, but evidence remains scarce and inconclusive in older adults.

This study presents a novel quantum dot electrophoretic display (QDEPD), which combines electro‐controlled reflection and optically‐triggered emission to achieve efficient multi‐modal switching within a single pixel. By incorporating multi‐component nanostructures, the system enhances functional integration and multi‐modal response capabilities.

Thermo‐Fluid‐Structural Coupling Analysis of Twin‐Screw Compressor Rotors Under Variable Operating Conditions

Maximizing the Energy Density of LNMO‖Graphite Cells by Mitigating First Cycle Losses Associated With Solid Electrolyte Interphase Formation

The addition of 5 wt% lithium oxalate was shown to compensate the irreversible first cycle capacity loss in LNMO‖Graphite pouch cells. Cells, including the sacrificial salt, showed higher capacities and better cycling stability.
