Uptake and Transport of Monotropein and Monotropein Esters in a Caco‐2/HT29‐MTX‐E12 Co‐Culture Model

open access: yesMolecular Nutrition &Food Research, Volume 70, Issue 15, 17 August 2026.
Monotropein and its naturally occurring ester derivatives (monotropein‐10‐coumarate and monotropein‐10‐cinnamate) from Gaultheria spp. berries exhibit limited intestinal permeability in a validated Caco‐2:HT29‐MTX‐E12 co‐culture model. Absorption occurs predominantly via passive diffusion, with partial SGLT1‐ and OATP‐mediated uptake contribution for ...

Flexible MoNb Bimetallic MXene for High‐Performance Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries via Separator Modification

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Lithium–sulfur batteries have attracted extensive interest owing to their exceptionally high theoretical energy density and environmental benignity. However, their practical performance remains severely constrained by intrinsic challenges, including the polysulfide shuttle effect and large volume expansion during cycling, which markedly ...

Moment‐Equivalent Adhesion Statistics Inferred From Particle Resuspension Kinetics

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2026.
A data‐driven inverse framework is introduced to infer adhesion‐force statistics directly from particle resuspension measurements. By coupling the Rock’n’Roll model with a beta‐distribution formulation, adhesion percentiles collapse when normalized by rolling geometry.

Analytical Ultracentrifugation in Aotearoa: A Brief History of the Technique and its Place Among Other Tools Used to Investigate Biomolecular Interactions

open access: yesJournal of the Royal Society of New Zealand, Volume 56, Issue 4, August 2026.
Analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC) is a powerful and versatile tool for studying biomolecular interactions. The purpose of this commentary is to provide foundational knowledge of the technique and its uses through the presentation of two case studies in which AUC provides key data to answer research questions.

Basins of Attraction and Escape in Pendulum‐Type Potentials with Quadratic Air Drag

open access: yesZAMM - Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics / Zeitschrift für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik, Volume 106, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Quadratic air drag is a common dissipative mechanism at moderate to high velocities, yet in nonlinear one‐degree‐of‐freedom systems, it typically blocks closed‐form solutions and energy‐based phase‐plane partitions. We study the autonomous class ẍ+α(x)|ẋ|ẋ+β(x)sgn(ẋ)+V′(x)=0,$$\begin{equation*} \ddot{x}+\alpha (x)\,|\dot{x}|\,\dot{x}+\beta
