Nuclear Spin‐Free 70Ge/28Si70Ge Quantum Well Heterostructures Grown on Industrial SiGe‐Buffered Wafers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hyperfine coupling to 29Si$^{29}{\rm Si}$ and 73Ge$^{73}{\rm Ge}$ nuclear spins limits hole spin‐qubit coherence in Ge heterostructures. We demonstrate device‐grade, nuclear‐spin‐free 70Ge$^{70}{\rm Ge}$/28Si70Ge$^{28}{\rm Si}^{70}{\rm Ge}$ quantum wells grown on industrial SiGe buffers with minimal use of enriched precursors.

EFFECT OF MODE OF ROTATION AND SPEED ON THE PRESSURE FIELD AND AXIAL THRUST OF INDUSTRIAL CENTRIFUGAL FAN

open access: yesJournal of Engineering and Sustainable Development, 2016
Centrifugal fans are used widely in most of the manufacturing processes for ventilating and/or air conditioning the working areas. Because of relatively limited documentation on the design of this type of fans, experimental and theoretical works are ...

Peroxidase‐Mimicking Nanozymes for Rapid Detection of Infectious Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Peroxidase‐mimicking nanozymes (PMNs) have emerged as robust and versatile materials for rapid infectious disease diagnostics. This review highlights the rational design and controlled synthesis of PMNs, summarizes key biomarkers relevant to infectious diseases, examines their integration into diverse rapid detection platforms, and highlights ...

Experimental and Numerical Investigation for Predicting the Performance of Voluteless Centrifugal Fan Rotors [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics
A better understanding of the flow field is crucial for improving the design of a turbomachine. In this work we investigate the performance of voluteless centrifugal fan rotors.

A Comparison of Propeller and Centrifugal Fans for Circulating the Air in a Wind Tunnel [PDF]

open access: yes
The tests described in this paper afford a direct comparison of the efficiency and smoothness of flow obtained with propeller fan and multiblade centrifugal fan drives in the same wind tunnel. The propeller fan was found to be superior to the centrifugal

Fabrication of High‐Density Multimodal Neural Probes Based on Heterogeneously Integrated CMOS

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A chiplet‐based methodology democratizes active neural probe development on standard bulk CMOS services. This yields the first probe combining high‐density electrophysiology (416 electrodes) with calcium imaging (832 photodiodes) and complete on‐chip signal processing across 13 shanks.

Cam-Operated Pitch-Change Apparatus [PDF]

open access: yes, 1978
A pitch-change apparatus for a ducted thrust fan having a plurality of variable pitch blades employs a camming ring mounted coaxially at the hub at an axially fixed station along the hub axis for rotation about the hub axis both with the blades and ...

The formation of compact massive self-gravitating discs in metal-free haloes with virial temperatures of ~ 13000-30000 K [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We have used the hydrodynamical AMR code ENZO to investigate the dynamical evolution of the gas at the centre of dark matter haloes with virial velocities of ~ 20 - 30 kms and virial temperatures of ~ 13000-30000 K at z ~ 15 in a cosmological context ...
