Host‐specific compatibility between RNF138‐like proteins and flavivirus NS5 determines NS5 stability. Mammalian RNF138 but not arthropod homologs recognizes and induces conserved NS5/RdRp K48‐linked ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation, thereby restricting viral replication. Ectopic RNF138 in mice attenuates TBEV‐induced pathogenesis. (Created in

Centrifugal Force and D' Alembert's Principle [PDF]
I agree so cordially with the greater part of Prof. Minchin's address to the Association for the Improvement of Geometrical Teaching, delivered on January 19, 1889, and reported in NATURE of June 6, p. 126, that I feel the more induced to enter a protest against his remarks on the subject of “centrifugal force.”

This study presents a surfaceome‐reprogramming strategy for mutation‐independent lung cancer therapy by repurposing dexamethasone to prime mesenchymal stem cell‐derived nanovesicles. The engineered vesicles leverage multi‐valent interactions mediated by upregulated adhesion proteins, EPHA2, and NOTCH3.

This study introduces a biomimetic “nanofusion” platform that integrates the biostability of threose nucleic acids (TNA) with homotypic cell‐membrane cloaking to combat drug‐resistant TNBC. By leveraging a non‐canonical membrane‐fusion pathway for direct cytosolic delivery, the platform bypasses endosomal sequestration. To achieve potent AKT2 silencing

On the impeller wear of vertical centrifugal pump carrying water–sand two-phase flow with fine particles: Characteristics and mechanisms [PDF]
Large-scale vertical centrifugal pumps are widely used in the water diversion projects in China, and the pumping stations often operate in the river environments with suspended sediments. The problem of impeller wear caused by sediment-laden flow is very

Tumor‐derived GDF15 drives cancer cachexia and suppresses antitumor immunity. Here, de novo designed minibinders targeting the GDF15–GFRAL interface achieve picomolar affinity and potent pathway blockade. The minibinders alleviate cachexia, restore CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, enhance anti–PD‐1 responsiveness, and provide survival benefits across tumor ...

A pH/MMP dual‐responsive Bifidobacterium longum (BL) hydrogel (INPs@BL@Gel) functionalized with baicalin, tyrosine, and inulin is constructed. It enables gastric protection, inflammation‐targeted release, and prolonged intestinal colonization. By remodeling gut microbiota, elevating beneficial neuroactive metabolites (homovanillic acid, short‐chain ...

The KIF6‐RBP Complex Orchestrates mRNA Transport Required for Sperm Flagellar Assembly
Two homozygous deleterious KIF6 variants are identified in unrelated men with impaired sperm motility. Mouse models and multi‐omics analyses reveal that KIF6 cooperates with the RNA‐binding proteins FMRP and FXR1 to deliver mRNAs essential for sperm flagellar assembly, linking disrupted mRNA transport to reduced abundance of key structural and ...
