Centrifugal Partition Chromatography. II. Selectivity Efficiency
Abstract Centrifugal Partition Chromatography (CPC) is a technique that uses two immiscible liquids. One liquid is used as a stationary phase, the second one as the mobile phase. Using the liquid systems methanol-hexane and octanol-water, the selectivity and efficiency of CPC apparatus were tested.

Enantioseparations in counter-current chromatography and centrifugal partition chromatography
Journal of Chromatography A, 2001Examples of chiral separations in counter-current chromatography (CCC) and centrifugal partition chromatography (CPC) are not numerous, due to the difficulty of finding chiral selectors highly selective in the liquid phase as well as a combination of solvents that does not destroy the selectivity and retains the capacity to elute chiral isomers of ...

Centrifugal Partition Chromatography. I. General Features
Abstract Centrifugal Partition Chromatography (CPC) is a variant of countercurrent chromatography (CCC). As in CCC, two immiscible liquids are used. The first liquid is the stationary phase, the second is the mobile phase. The liquid stationary phase is held in channels engraved in several polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE) plates.

Deep eutectic solvents in countercurrent and centrifugal partition chromatography
Journal of Chromatography A, 2016Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) were evaluated as solvents in centrifugal partition chromatography, a liquid-liquid chromatography separation technology. To this end, the partition coefficients of ten natural compounds of different hydrophobicity were determined in non-aqueous biphasic systems containing DES.

Influence of flow patterns on chromatographic efficiency in centrifugal partition chromatography
Journal of Chromatography A, 2000Visualization of flow patterns in centrifugal partition chromatography (CPC) was performed with an asynchronous camera and a stroboscope triggered by the CPC rotor, allowing a channel to be selected and observed regardless of rotational speed. Three main types of flow states were noted as a function of rotational speed and flow-rate: jets stuck along ...

Measurement of Partition Coefficient Using Centrifugal Partition Chromatography
Measurement of partition coefficients in various solvent systems has been developed using flow-through centrifugal partition chromatography (CPC). The present paper details the experimental design, and shows that this method is able to measure compounds in a log P range of ca. -3.2 to 3.2 in a precise, accurate and rapid way.

CENTRIFUGAL PARTITION CHROMATOGRAPHY: APPLICATION TO NATURAL PRODUCTS IN 1994–2009
Centrifugal partition chromatography (CPC) is a type of counter current separation technique and was first invented by Sanki Eng. Ltd. in Kyoto. Since the year of 1982, CPC has been used to isolate or fractionate bioactive materials and has shown its ...

Anion-Exchange Displacement Centrifugal Partition Chromatography
Analytical Chemistry, 2004Ion-exchange displacement chromatography has been adapted to centrifugal partition chromatography. The use of an ionic liquid, benzalkonium chloride, as a strong anion-exchanger has proven to be efficient for the preparative separation of phenolic acid regioisomers.
