تم جمع الميلانويدات السلية التي تأوي يرقات تريماتود بشكل طبيعي في نظام الري في واحة عين سلطان (جنوب غرب تونس)، خلال المسوحات الملحية التي أجريت في الفترة من يناير إلى ديسمبر 2013. من 2160 عينة من السلالة السلية التي تم جمعها، 31 (1.4 ٪) أصيبت بالعدوى من ذيل سنتروسيستوس فورموسانوس (Digenea: Heterophyidae).
