Facile Synthesis of CeO2 Nanospheres
Ceria nanospheres with an average size of 320 nm were prepared by a urea-hydrothermal route. The ceria nanospheres had a core-shell structure constructed by nanoparticles and nanosheets that predominantly exposed the vertical bar 111 vertical bar planes.

Cooperative Redox Catalysis of N2O Decomposition by Short‐Range RhOx and CeOx Anchored to Co3O4
A short‐range Rh–O–Co–O–Ce interfacial moiety drives low‐temperature N2O decomposition via a cooperative redox cycle. Operando modulated‐excitation XAS with phase‐sensitive detection (ME‐XAS + PSD) tracks rapid, reversible Rh oxidation coupled to Co reduction.

ABSTRACT Silver‐doped cerium oxide nanoparticles (Ag/CeO2 NPs) were synthesized using Ricinus communis seed extract as a bio‐derived fuel in a solution combustion method. The combustion reaction, carried out at 450°C with AgNO3 and (NH4)2[Ce (NO3)6] as metal precursors, produced CeO2 and Ag/CeO2 NPs.

By adjusting experimental parameters, such as reaction time and ratios, CeO2/CePO4 composites have been prepared through a single-step hydrothermal process, in which CeO2 octahedra and CePO4 nanowires mingled with each other to form many interfaces.

ABSTRACT The presence of antibiotics in water not only causes environmental pollution but also increases the growth of antibiotic‐resistant bacterial genes, which pose serious threats to human beings and other water residents. Large numbers of people are reportedly affected by the resistant bacterial genes, as many broad‐spectrum antibiotics are not ...

Electrolyte‐free cathode design for solid‐state batteries demonstrated with bifunctional Li2VCl4
The “electrolyte‐free” cathode design is demonstrated by utilizing the ion‐conducting active material Li2VCl4. This design is exclusively viable within all‐solid‐state battery configurations, where both active materials and electrolytes exist in the solid state.
